Ayrburn Pinot Noir 2023, Bendigo, Central Otago
A delicious wine with a bouquet of red plums and blackberries laced with black cherry and a deep mineral core of sily alluvial soil. There’s also the scents of barrel and elevage with a complexity and and style. The voice of savoury dried herbs and some thyme qualities add depth as well as complexity. A dry wine with a firm palate driven by tannins and acidity. A youthful wine still with textures from the structure still settling into the harmonies with the fruit flavours that mirror the bouquet. Baking spices and some smoky wood, a nicely complex wine with best drinking from 2028 through 2034+.
