Varietal, focused, stone and dried herb, dark red berries led by raspberry and blackcurrant, then barrel spices and violet suggestions. A dry wine touches the palate with a a youthful firm tannins and acid line framing red fruit flavours that reflect the bouquet, a Waiheke Island windswept sandy soils suggestion adds complexity and depth. A food wine with enough power and mouthfeel to warrant high protein fare. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2030.
