Chard Farm 'Mason' Pinot Noir 2023, Parkburn, Central Otago

Delicious, ripe, fruity, varietal and intense wine. Aromas and flavours of dark cherry and dried raspberry, some boysenberry and tart plums invade the palate framed by a decent acid line and firm tannins. Tannins are in abundance and have plenty of polish and impact. Delicious and lengthy, as the wine warms in glass and the palate the intensity and impacts become more focused. A lengthy finish with reduction, spice, nut and savoury dried herb highlights. Taut and poised to age with best drinking from 2029 through 2040.
