Chard Farm 'Vipers' Pinot Noir 2023, Parkburn, Central Otago

A varietal, taut and youthful expression with a vibrant mouthfeel and package of red fruits showcasing boysenberry and dark cherry, impacts from site and soil deliver a stony silty almost sand like foundation, dark roses and spices from fruit then wood. Dry with persistent fruit flavours, an abundance of tannins and backbone of cool-climate acidity frame the flavours and sense of place this wine exudes. Delicious yet still developing with best drinking from 2030 through 2038.
