Mt Beautiful Estate Pinot Noir 2020, North Canterbury

Ripe and mineral, fruity and developing with core scents of red berries including strawberry and plum then raspberry. A silty sandy clay soil seam adds complexity, as does the spice and light smoky qualities of oak and lees. A dry wine with plenty of chalky textures from tannins and a medium+ acid line keeps the palate fresh and engaged. Persistent flavours and textures with a red fruit laden finish. Well made with best drinking from day of purchase through 2030+.
