Mt Beautiful Estate Pinot Noir 2022, North Canterbury

A lighter weighted wine with a core of varietal red berry fruits, layers of spice and mineral. Flavours of red cherry and plum with a silty almost sandy soil quality, then a strawberry flavours develops as the wine opens out in glass. Dry with an abundance of dusty chalky tannins and plenty of acidity drive the structure and power with a savoury quality and engaging mouthfeel. A delicious wine with best drinking from 2028 through 2034+.
