Flaxmore Pinot Noir 2023, Nelson

Core hues of ruby, burgundy and red lead to a bouquet of cherries and plums with spices of cinnamon and vanilla, clove and dried herb suggested. There’s a floral quality with rose and a potpourri complexity. On the palate a dry wine with textures from fine tannins and acidity touching first, quickly followed by flavours of raspberry and plum then some wood spice inputs. Balanced and well-made with plenty of depth and finish. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2031.
