Maori Point 'Professor's Block' Pinot Noir 2022, Central Otago

Core hues of red and burgundy fading to a delicate pink rim lead to a bouquet of depth and complexity, red cherry and raspberry, fallen leaves and layers of wood spices and synergies from soil, fruit and winemaking inputs of barrel and time on lees. An equally intriguing wine on the palate with an abundance of fine tannins and acidity frame flavours of red berries, plum, raspberry and wood spices of nutmeg, vanilla and clove. Overall a delicious wine with complexity, charm and palate appeal. Best drinking from 2027 through 2033.
