Hues of ruby and some pale reds lead to a bouquet of complexity and charm, savoury wild dried herb scents framed by red and yellow cherry fruits, mineral salts and wood spices, a gentle wood-smoke idea and a definitive white clay mineral suggestion. A slightly lighter weighted expression, taut and youthful with a palate squeeze that releases flavours of red berries and dried herb, a savoury mineral quality and spice. Polished fine tannins are in abundance, a focused cool-climate acid line and lengthy finish. An excellent wine with best drinking from day of purchase through 2033.
