Escarpment Sauvignon Blanc 2025, Martinborough

An excellent bouquet and palate, a striking initial drive of fruit and soft ripe nettles and some herb, cape gooseberry and a leesy fruit spice combination. Crisp, taut and dry, an unmistakable textured expression with layers of lees and acidity, perhaps some neutral barrel complexities wrapped in flavours of fruit and a mineral complexity. Balanced, well made and persistent. Best drinking from mid to late 2026 through 2031+.
