Kinross 'The Prospector' Chardonnay 2024, Gibbston, Central Otago

A delicious wine, youthful, taut, packed with flavours of citrus and fruit spice then a judicious measure of wood spice. Dry, youthful and new, as the wine opens out in glass the mix of white fleshed fruits and citrus meld with those of wood and lees, acidity and tannins. A wine that needs time to develop with best drinking from late 2026, even early 2027 through 2032.
