Tarras 'The Canyon' Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021, Central Otago

Complex and intriguing bouquet with a focused, dark fruits and smoky-earthy power. A bouquet that is quite closed too with a nervous quality. A dry, taut and high energy wine touches the palate with a backbone of acidity and tannins, lots of polish and finesse, ‘locked-up’ still yet still showing flavours of dark berries and red stone fruits, wild flowers and forest spices. Some wood smoke and stony soil ideas round out the palate. Lengthy and well made with best drinking from 2031 through 2041.
