Tarras Pinot Noir 2021, Central Otago

An excellent colour and bouquet of site and style, savoury dried herbs and ripe red stone fruits of cherry and then plum; layers of earth and mineral begin to show as the wine opens out in glass with a marl-stone-sand idea. Some spice and wood smoke add complexity. Dry with an abundance of tannins and acidity to frame the core fruit flavours that mirror the bouquet. Excellent weight and length with best drinking from day of purchase through 2032+.
