Ruru Chardonnay 2025, Central Otago

A ripe and engaging bouquet of dark yellow-fleshed stone fruits then grapefruit peel, stone and lees then older barrel spices. A nicely engaging bouquet with a cool-climate completeness that is very appealing. A decent weight with a satin-creamy mouthfeel, contrasting acid line and flavours that mirror the bouquet with citrus and stone fruit then baking spices and roasted nut. Well made with a lovely youthful appeal and length. Best from late 2026 through 2030.
