Urlar Chardonnay 2023, Gladstone, Wairarapa

A rather nice expression with core aromas and flavours of white fleshed stone fruits, lots of apple and wild white flowers. Dry with plenty of weight, satin texture and gentle creaminess leading to flavours of apples and pears, white peach and a definitive seams of lees for complexity and texture. The oak statement is one of spice and calm, then a silty clay-like mineral quality. A lengthy finish, well made and ready to drink from day of purchase through 2030.
