Huntress Kuratea 2025, Hawke's Bay

Kuratea translates to light red in te Reo Maori, a fitting title for this wine as it is exactly that, but more. Very bright and youthful, fleshy red berry scents then perfumes of white and red flowers and a gentle savoury earthy quality. Made with Syrah, Pinot Noir, Chenin Blanc and Pinot Gris the palate is filled with flavours of boysenberry and plum, raspberry and black currant, there’s a baked tree fruit and citrus peel idea as the wine opens out and warms on the palate. Crisp and fine with acidity and fine fruit tannins adding texture and length. A lovely option for early Spring imbibing with or without food. Best from day of purchase through 2029.
