A striking bouquet with power and ripeness, dark berries and oak spices, wood smoke and roasted meats, dark spices and kalamata olive, blackcurrant and plums, blueberries and chocolate, dark earth ideas. Delicious, firm and dry on the palate with ripe red berry fruits flavours, smoke and spice. The wine is also taut and youthful still with a tang to the acid line accentuated by the impact of tannins. As this wine continues to settle and develop it remains in the food wine circle. This will change as the wine reaches 2029 with best drinking from 2028 through 2038.
