Stonyridge 'Larose' 2022, Waiheke Island

A dark red and purple core, almost opaque with a deep concentration and light purple rim. The bouquet begins to reveal more after around 15 minutes in glass leading with sweet violets and dried herb, dark plum and black cherry, blackberry and Doris plums. Layers of wild forest berries, sweet tobacco and chocolate. Layers of wood smoke and earth, a youthful and taut wine with poise and concentration, delicacy and style. A dry wine with an abundance of polished tannins and backbone of acidity, lees and flint, pot-pourri and tilled earth. A delicious wine with delicacy and concentration, complexity and finesse. Best drinking from 2029 through 2039+.
