SOHO Family Vineyards 'Revolver' red blend 2023, Waiheke Island, Auckland

Very youthful appearance with hues of purple and dark red with a ruby pink rim leads to a bouquet of dark berries and olive, chocolate and smoky wood spices, some boot polish, new leather and a mix of clove and vanilla. As the wine opens out in glass the flavors of Doris plum and blackcurrant begin to emerge. Firm tannins with polish and power are enhanced by the acid line. A delicious, fresh and juicy wine with best drinking from 2029 through 2038.
