Varietal with layers of smoky red berry fruits with a meaty quality frame the bouquet with scents of plums and raspberry and a definitive clay and red clay earthy suggestion. A wine with a sense of site. Dry with an abundance of fine tannins and medium+ acid line, flavours of red cherry and plum then baking spices and gentle wood tones. There’s a light floral quality and dried herb layer adding complexity and charm. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2031.
