Batch Winery 'Thomas Legacy' Syrah 2024, Waiheke Island

Core hues of deep purple and pink at the rim, a decent concentration and colour stained tears. Dry, tense and firmly textured with a rich core of dark red fruit flavours, a backbone of acidity and firm tannins, a young wine still and needing some cellar time still. Delicious and fresh, firm and dry, lengthy and well made. Flavours of dark spices and wood smoke, stone and dry clay ideas frame the core of berries and dark cherry. Well made with best drinking from late 2028 through 2034.
