Christopher Reid Pinot Noir 2024, Martinborough

An excellent bouquet and palate, a wine with softness and texture, a reflection of site and vintage with flavours of red berries and plums, raspberry, a mix of polished fruit tannins then wood. Attention to detail with the use of 3 separate clones fuses together the softness and mid-palate dimension of the Abel clone with the spice and rigidity of the Pommard and Dijon clones. The wine soaks up the new wood with ease. A mineral and earth seam reflects the sites used. Well made, balanced and ready to drink as early as the day of purchase through 2031+.
