Mason Hidden Vineyard Pinot Noir 2024, Martinborough

The scents of Martinborough soils are part of the core in the bouquet with a ruddy-brown stony soil almost rustic quality, followed by scents of dark plum and dark red strawberry. As the wine opens out in glass the scents of baking spices and a soft smoky complexity begin to emerge adding a frame for the inherent earthy qualities. Youthful, taut and complex on the palate with tannins and acidity grabbing my attention first. There is poise too and as the wine continues to relax and develop over 2 days the balance and longevity potential also develop. This wine will begin to show its best from 2028 through 2034+ Cellar well and it will reward even longer.
