Manz Cheleiros Reserva 2018, Pomar do Espirito Santo, Lisboa, Portugal
A core of dark ruby and red hues leads to a bouquet of complexity and development. Aromas of cherry, old strawberry, some fallen leaves and core of earth and mineral. Clay, tea, preserved cherries and barrel spices of clove and vanilla. Some secondary scents show some bottle development is well underway. On the palate a dry wine with a core of integration and mouthfeel with fine tannins and medium acid line framing red fruit flavours and tea to mirror the bouquet. Then follows flavours of dry clay and some leather, old strawberry and curry spice. Ready to drink with balance and length, a well made wine with best drinking from day of purchase through 2029+.
