Redmetal Vineyards 'Basket Press' Syrah 2021, Hawke's Bay

A core of purple and Ruby leading to a pink ruby rim. Lots of concentration and power with aromas and flavors of Doris plum skin, black currant, a mix of baking spices led by clove then vanilla, then a toasty wood smoke layer. Gravel-stony soil’s with a clay component scents, polished tannins are in abundance, a backbone of acidity. Delicious, balanced and well  made, a wine ready for drinking from day of purchase through 2032.
