Colombo Pinot Gris 2020, Martinborough

Ripe, fresh, youthful and fruity. There’s lots to like about this wine with a core of ripe pear and apple, there’s a light floral note and silky texture to the bouquet. On the palate it’s just dry with a whisper of sugar to off-set the warming alcohol adding a light creaminess to the texture. Fruit flavours mirror the nose and with a hint of barrel spice. Nice weight and texture, balanced and well made. Best drinking from today and though summer 2022.
