Bold and masculine bouquet with aromas of dark berries and spice, toasty wood and blackberry, dark plum and chocolate, tobacco and berry compote. On the palate - Weighty, rich flavours and textures with dark berries and toasty wood, vanilla, clove and tobacco. Some peppery moments subdued with warming alcohol and medium acidity. Firm youthful tannins still integrating through the wine. Overall a all-purpose wine for cheeses to meats, lasagna to pot-roast. Well made, still integrating but also drinkable today and through 2025.
