Ruru Reserve Pinot Noir 2017 Central Otago

Immediately attractive bouquet of a varietal Pinot Noir with aromas of dark cherry and sweet Doris plum, raspberry and mushroom then baking spices, a savoury spice layer and wood smoke. Dry, fleshy, fruity, crisp and detailed. Flavours mirror the nose, fine, balanced use of wood and fruit tannins, medium+ acidity and lengthy finish. A lighter weighted wine with moderate alcohol, plenty of pinosity and palate feel. Drink now and through 2024.
