A very good bouquet and palate of dark plums and blackberry, black currant flesh and stony soils. There’s a smoky woody quality framing the bouquet with a clove and vanilla quality, then peppery spices and warming alcohol quality. Dry with a satin-cream mouthfeel then as the tannins and acidity layer through the palate the wine gains tension and sensory impact. Generous and well made with best drinking from day of purchase through 2029.
