Ripe, varietal and fruity with core scents of blackcurrant and Doris plums, there’s a compote and miso-mite suggestion then sweet smoky barrel scents and violets. A dry wine touches the palate with a core of bold blue and red fruit flavours framed by a peppercorn spice and smoky earthy ideas. Moderate impact from tannins adding mouthfeel and some grip accentuated by the acid line and ultimately adding to the finish. Well made with best drinking from day of purchase through 2032.
