Misha's Vineyard Tempo Pinot Noir 2024, Central Otago

A lovely wine with a fragrant bouquet of red flowers and red berry fruits, a mix of soil-smoke of stone and silty soils and gentle wood spices suggesting clove and some vanilla. Dry, taut and youthful with a nice tension from the acid line and tannins, I like the savoury aspect as well with a dried herb and gentle mineral quality. Raspberry and dark cherry, a bracken and wild landscape idea delivers some complexity that is revealed more as the wine opens out in glass. Well made with a decent finish. Food friendly or with mild cheese, best drinking from 2027 through 2032.
