Huia Traditional Methode Brut Rosé 2022, Marlborough

Pale apricot and light golden hues lead to a bouquet of red apple skin, light red berries and white fleshed orchard fruits. The autolysis adds complexity along with a layer of lightly toasted baked goods including oatmeal and cracker. A fine mousse with smaller bubbles cascades through the palate delivering crunch and freshness then subsides to reveal flavours of berries and white fleshed fruits reflecting the bouquet. Well made, a wine with finesse and charm, some floral moments and deliciousness. Best from day of purchase through 2032.
