Fabulous bouquet of complexity and pinosity, ripeness and allure. Scents of black cherry and baking spices, plum and wood smoke, violets and roses with a silty marl-like soil suggestion as mineral and earthiness. A dry wine touches the palate with a rush of dark red berry flavours, clove and vanilla, some new leather and crush floral lines. Tannins are polished, chalky textured and in abundance, plenty oaf acidity for power and freshness, a lovely wine, some elegance and lots of complexity. Best drinking from 2029 through 2035.
