Collaboration Wines 'Ceresia' Cabernet Franc 2024, Hawke's Bay

A bouquet that speaks to its Latin origins with scents of cherry, then red plums and woos with some baking spices, then plum and raspberry jam. Decent concentration and intrigue with soft dried herb ideas and a stone-earth foundation. Dry and very appealing on the palate with fresh berry flavours, some sweetness of wood, a backbone of acidity and abundance of tannins - both fruit and wood. Well made, lengthy, youthful and taut, lots of violets on the finish, a wine only just beginning to reveal its personality and style. Best drinking from 2029 through 2035+.
