Tohu Whenua Awa Single Vineyard Chardonnay 2022, Upper Awatere, Marlborough

A complex and enticing bouquet of sweet citrus peel and yellow apple, a sea-spray idea then fresh peach and raw cashew nut. As the wine opens out in glass so too do the ideas of nut and stone fruits with a sweet floral and lees overlay. Delicious, ripe and fruity on the palate with a decent seam of sweet oak and acidity framing the core orchard fruit and citrus flavours. Lees and nut feature again on the finish. Well made, dry and ready to drink from day of purchase through 2030.
