Sfumato by Petane Whatatutu Syrah 2024, Hawke's Bay

Varietal and fragrant with a lifted floral and sweet herb quality then scents of dark red berries, black currant and violet. On the palate, a dry wine with core flavours of fresh and dried raspberry, some blue fruits then a leesy dried herb and wood smoke layer. Fine through firm tannins, lots of energy and youth, a backbone of acidity delivers drive and carries the core flavours well then swinging back to what the bouquet first delivered. Well made with best drinking from late 2027 through 2033.
