Linden Estate 347 Fortified Wine NV, Hawke's Bay

This is a port-style wine with all the hallmarks of a dark red wine fortified with brandy spirit and laced with scents of plums and brown sugar, fresh prunes and dates, sweet violets, blackstrap licorice and nougat. An off-dry wine with a backbone of alcohol and sweetness, contrasting acidity and flavours that mirror the bouquet. A wine for chocolate and sweet puddings, or just a wee dram for later. Best from day of purchase through 2040.
