Rockburn 'The Art' Pinot Noir 2023, Bendigo, Central Otago

An excellent bouquet of spice and red berry fruits, layers of red cherry, plum and dried herb. Some new oak barrels amongst perhaps a few older add depth and complexity as well as baking spice and clove qualities. Delicious on the palate, dry and textured with an abundance of tannins, fine through coarse silk in mouthfeel. Plenty of acidity and tension, ripe and pure, packed with texture and varietal power. Best drinking from 2029 through 2036.
