Nautilus 'Clay Hills Vineyard' Pinot Noir 2021, Southern Valleys, Marlborough

Fantastic wine, complex, youthful, focused and concentrated aromas and flavours of black cherry, boysenberry, dark plum skin laced with baking spices and core earthy clay and stony soil ideas. Barrel spices of clove and vanilla, some sweet barrel moments and moments of sweet sage and dried herb. Also on the palate are flavours of barrel smoke and new wood Tannins offer firmness and release with plenty of polish. The acid line remains a focus too carrying flavours and freshness into a lengthy complex finish. Delicious, dry and lengthy. Best drinking from 2028 through 2036.
