Johanneshof Cellars Pinot Gris 2025, Marlborough

There’s no mistaking the varietal drive with scents of pears and ripe yellow apple, both laced with a gentle shite spice and suggestion of a leesy quince quality. A sense of minerality with clay and stony soil ideas and a loral lift. An off-dry expression with a silky mouthfeel driven by the sweetness and alcohol, flavours of white fleshed fruits including nectarine and a contrasting acid line delivers a wine of flavours and satisfaction. Serve cool, not cold, with best drinking from day of purchase through 2030.
