Folding Hill 'Orchard Block' Pinot Noir 2023, Bendigo, Central Otago

A bouquet and palate of fruit purity and complexity, flavours of red berries and flowers, a chalky tannins and higher acid line textures, plenty of energy and style. A dry wine with lots of polished and power that needs cellar time still to settle and integrate with the flavours of dark cherry and strawberry, clay and stone, a savoury dried herb layer and lengthy finish. The new wood use of 30% layers in flavour and sweetness as well as some smoky ideas. Best drinking from 2029 through 2035+.
