Burn Cottage 'Moonlight Race' Pinot Noir 2023, Central Otago

A complete wine with a fragrant and detailed bouquet of red berries and mineral earth combinations, scents of strawberry and baking spices, a soft blackcurrant and red cherry, and gentle woodsmoke and lees ideas, some bracken and silty soils with a floral wild rose idea. Dry and textured on the palate with an equally detailed win on the plate, fine tannins and acidity, dried herb and soil flavours then red berry fruits that mirror the bouquet. Well made with a decent length and finish. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2032+.
