Amisfield RKV Reserve Pinot Noir 2019, Central Otago

This Rocky Knoll Vineyard or RKV reserve wine is fantastic. Core hues of dark red and ruby lead to a bouquet of complexity and power, purity and complexity. Delicious on the nose and palate with scents and flavours of spice and dark berries, plum and clove, cherry and vanilla, clay and plum, wood smoke and dried herb. A natural savoury complexity develops as the wine opens out on the palate leading to textures from tannins, fine and needle point, medium+ acid line and a lengthy exuberant finish. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2035.
