Great colour and bouquet with scents of dark plum and blackberry, a core of black currant with violets and spices, some peppercorn and dried clay. There’s a synergy too with the smoky wood tones and baking spices from the use of oak. Dry, fleshy and fruity core framed by tannins and acidity delivering some tension and lots of mouthfeel. Well made with a persistent red berry fruits and spices profile, texture and decent length. Well made with best drinking from day of purchase through 2030+.
