Nevis Bluff Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2024, Central Otago

I tasted this wine in late 2025 so great to be able to get a snapshot of where it’s sitting in late March 2026. Frankly it is significantly more harmonious and complex than previously experienced. Still youthful, still taut yet there’s a more defined bouquet and ease to the tautness and drive on the palate. The layers of cacao and lees elements are faded in favour of barrel spices and smoke framing core flavours of boysenberry and wild raspberry. Tannins deliver tension and squeeze and acidity adding to the length. Best drinking from late 2027 through 2033.
