Eva Single Vineyard Reserve Pinot Noir 2024, Marlborough

A lovely bouquet of concentration, ripeness and varietal power. Aromas of dark cherry flesh and boysenberry then a mix of violets and sweet oak, baking spices and a stony alluvial soil quality. A fleshy, varietal and impactful wine touches the palate with red fruit and berry flavours that reflect the bouquet, there’s spice and clove, a gentle smoky oak quality, plenty of tannins with a coarse-silk mouthfeel and an earthy foundation. Well made, taut and new with some cellar time recommended. Best drinking from 2029 through 2036.
