Dark ruby and purple hues, very bright and youthful lead to a bouquet of violets and blackberries then wood smoke and plum, brown earth and dried herbs, clove and tobacco. Complex, youthful and still developing. A delicious wine on the palate with a firm touch softened by the core of ripe and fleshy fruit flavours reflecting the bouquet. A fuller-bodied expression, a juxtaposition of soft fruits centre with a firm frame and youthful power. Lengthy and well made with best drinking from 2030 through 2040.
