Fromm 'Fromm Vineyard' Syrah 2021, Marlborough

A noticeable depth of colour with an opaque core of dark purple with a ruby purple rim. Aromas of black currant, boysenberry and Doris plums, dried raspberry, lots of clove and some leather, wood smoke and mineralised soil scents. Complex and engaging. A dry wine with a decent squeeze from acidity and tannins that frame a core of dark berry flavours and bold mouthfeel qualities. Lots of energy and engagement, a wine that will continue to age yet offers a drink now with food qualities. Best from 2027 through 2035+.
