Colere Southern Valleys Floretti 2023, Marlborough

Hues of orange and apricot lead to a bouquet of wild flowers and lees, some yellow apples and apricot ideas, then mineral and fallen flowers. Dry, crisp, textured and new, there’s a mix of wild flowers and apples, some citrus peel and ginger spice. Flavours suggested from the bouquet fall into place on the palate framed by acidity and earthiness from winemaking and winemaker’s style. Well made, a food wine though I could drink a glass on its own. Best from 2025 through January 2027.
