Colere Southern Valleys Dendron Syrah 2021, Marlborough

Complex, earthy and mineral smoky bouquet followed by flavours of dark berries and some tobacco, spiced red berries and plum then suggestions of lees and stony soils. A hint of wood spice and a whisper of bacon-like [oak] layers in additional complexity. Dry, lots of texture and subtle power with plenty of acidity and grip. An excellent wine ready for complex fare and especially cheese. Best drinking from 2025 through 20230+.
